  • Child Convention

    A convention of children was organized where Bal Panchyat members were present to express their views these Bal Panchyat members interacted with President, Child Protection Centre, Sh. O.P. Mishra, President NCLP Project and many other represenative of social civil societies.

    As the children do not have any forum through which they can raise their voice at different levels, so it helps children to express them freely. They also formed Children's chain on various issues in last phase had a very positive impact on media and other sections of the society. To sensitise the administrative and government machinery on child rights, children formed human chain on child rights issues. This human chain is organized on the issues like girl education, child trafficking, equal education, etc., and against exploitation of the children.

  • Community Convention
    The main aim to organize community convention was to provide a joint platform where community committee members can exchange their views and experience and make a strategy for building up pressure on Govt. and implementing agencies for various social issues and problems of community.

  • Celebration Of International Mother’s Day
    CID celebrated the International Mother’s Day on 8th March with the support of Antar Jyoti, a Delhi based development organization by organizing small events in different parts of Gwalior. The main activities were wishing the Mothers who gave birth to Baby girl through greeting cards, flowers & sweets and gifts for the newborn babies. A workshop was also organised by CID on the sideline of these events to commemorate the Day at KamlaRaja Hospital, a prominent health center for women at Gwalior. Doctors, Medical representatives, NGO workers & common people participated in this programmes.

  • Human Rights Day (10th December)

    on Human Rights Day a human chain of child labourers from our project area was formed at Phoolbagh ( Centre point of the city). The objective of the human chain was to highlight problem of child labour and their rights .More than 150 childrens belonging to different sectors (Stone crusher, Carpet and Bidi) participated in the event. On this occasion representative from human right commission, local NGO's, Social workers, trade unions and parents of children were present to extend their support. Later the children marched in the rally with play cards in their hand and shouting slogans on the street of the city demanding abolition of child labour, free and quality education to all and protection of child rights.

    This event was given prominent place in the local / national print and electronic media, interviews of the children, project team members were also given place in their coverage.
